As part of their preparation for the forthcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign in Australia and New Zealand later this year, the Super Falcons of Nigeria are set to compete in a four- nation tournament also tagged the Revelations Cup, in Mexico.
As revealed by the organizers in a press conference held in Mexico and published through the Federation’s Twitter handle, the tournament is set to kick off from February 13th to 22nd, 2023.
“The tournament will be a home run with Mexico, Colombia, Nigeria and Costa Rica, to be played from February 13-22. The one with the most point will win it.” – Arturo Fiszman, Director of operations of curveball sports.
Also present at the press conference was the Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum, who expressed his excitement for the upcoming tournament
“Thank you for the invitation to the Revelations Cup. As an American, I know Mexico and Costa Rica closely. I know that Colombia is also a great rival and it is an honour to play these games.”
Waldrum also spoke on the importance of the tournament
“The Revelations Cup is an opportunity to see teams with a different style of play, we can learn from teams in the CONCACAF and South America.”
The Super Falcons are in Group B of the Forthcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup alongside Australia, Ireland and Canada, which will run from the 20th of July to 20th of August 2023.
