All set for the big one on Saturday as South Africa lock horns with Hosts, Morocco for the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations trophy.
This is a chance presented for each side to make history seeing both teams have never won the trophy.
South Africa have come close on several occasions, having finished as runner-up (5) times in the previous editions, while for Morocco it is a first ever final for them, and they will be hoping to lift the trophy in their home soil being the hosts.
Both teams have scored same amount of goals (8) so far in the tournament, but South Africa have let in just 2 goals at the back compared to Morocco’s 3.
They are both unbeaten so far in the tournament, and this game promises to be a blockbuster seeing how well both teams attack and also defend against opposition. It will be a “never give up attitude” from both teams.
Banyana Banyana had one of their toughest game in the tournament when the faced Zambia in the Semis, but scaled through via a late penalty. The Atlas Lionesses on the other hand, also faced great difficulty in breaking down defending Champions Nigeria who played with 9 women for over 50 minutes, but the Moroccans won in the penalty shoot-out.
